Does this sound like you?

"I've been tasked with delivering a project. But I'm not sure if this is really the problem."

Last month, you said yes. You want to own a project. You're excited. Now you need to present to your boss what you're going to do. You panic. You realise the dream you were sold is false. It was based off the Exec swallowing a McKinsey ebook and you can't rely on this.

You don't have a clarity engine you can count on. The project you've been given, is vague, unscoped and a complete hospital pass.

And the quiet recurring thought behind this: "I don't know if this is the right thing to tackle. I'm not sure it's really a problem."

Here's the part no-one tells you about.

This isn't a capability problem. Oh no. You're already good at what you do. You have years of experience & a title to prove it. What you're missing is a repeatable process. A structure that allows you to clarify the situation, define the problem and make sure you're not wasting hours doing the wrong thing.

When you get both right, you unlock value. Big time. You don't just build credibility internally, you deliver better results. That's the difference between being shouted at by the CFO for wasting money and being given a promotion for outstanding work.

WHAT THIS IS

A 5-minute diagnostic that tells you what the problem is - and what do to about it.

This is not a PDF. It's not a course. It's not something you buy & never use. It's an interactive tool run inside ChatGPT.

You answer 8 simple questions, one by one, and the engine will give you a plan based on your answers.

What you walk away with

Creating clarity on what happens next...

  • Your problem, in one sentence. Not the brief you were given. The actual problem behind it, written in plain language, simple enough that your boss will understand. Most people walk into meetings being able to describe the project, yet almost no one can state the problem in one clean sentence. This gives you that clarity.
    • Your clarity pattern. There's a reason why every vague brief is vague. It's because it's bland. Abstract or just made up. Reasons include: borrowed (copied from a trend, a competitor, or a slide someone saw at a conference), backwards (a solution came first and the problem got written to fit it), or real but unstated (something genuine but no-one's owning it). This tells you which one you're dealing with, so you know exactly what's missing.
  • Your next 2–3 moves. Each one: what it is, why it matters, and one thing you can do today. It's not about workshops or templates, but simple, actionable steps you can take today.

And one more thing: your plan won't auto-magically fix your problems. It won't write the business case for you, and it won't tell you whether it's worth doing. It gets you to the point where you can say, with confidence, "here's the actual problem" instead of just guessing.

Why I built this

I'm Brendan. In 2025, I left the corporate world to go back to basics. I had spent the last 20 years helping companies "use their data better" but still felt like I was running through treacle.

I was great at the people skills...helping others understand their (business) problems. I had spent years honing this craft, leading global data & AI teams, and working with businesses to create successful teams.

The problem was I was stuck downstream. By the time I got involved, the problems had already happened, and most were avoidable! That really annoyed me.

So I went back to basics. I was great at connecting the dots in what people said but didn't see. I was a problem definer. I productised this, created a repeatable system, and set out on my own to help others avoid problem purgatory.

That decision took me from being a chief data officer at a £90bn AUM PE firm to building my own business. This diagnostic is the first piece of the problem puzzle. And it's yours for less than the price of a regular Starbucks latte.

AFTER THE GAMEPLAN

Want the whole system, not just the gameplan?

Some people get their gameplan, love it and want to go further. They don't just want the map, they want to go all the way, having the system built for their situation.

That's the 6-Week Problem First Installation. This is where we work together on a 1:1 basis, to nail down your problem, understand the consequences, who's going to care about this the most and the steps to take. This is about putting you back in charge.

Yes, it's optional. The £5 gameplan stands on its own. It will give you what you need to get started. But if you want to go further, the invitation's waiting for you.

What leaders say about working with me

The gameplan will get you started in the same way it did for them.
